let them eat jazz!

Slip on your walking shoes and enjoy sweets + sounds + sand at Dufflet Beach (1917 Queen St. E., just east of Woodbine) while the annual Beaches International Jazz Festival wraps up this weekend with Streetfest

Drop by our sidewalk table and check out our special Beaches Jazz window display. Designed for Dufflet by artist Michelle Smith, music and cake icons made of sugar and different shades of sandpaper applied onto boards celebrate theme of sweets + sounds + sand.

Beaches Jazz StreetFest also means that Queen Street East becomes a giant pedestrian mall (and closed to traffic) from 6pm to 11:30pm on the nights of Thursday July 21, Friday July 22, and Saturday July 23, 2011. Info on getting around can be found at http://www.beachesjazz.com/directions.html#roaddetails

http://www.beachesjazz.com/streetfest.html is the place to visit to check out bandshell listings for Kew Gardens and all along Queen Street East this weekend.

Dufflet Beach is the place to start! Grab something sweet to nibble + sip and have a Beaches Jazz good time!

The Hunter for Tour de Dufflet!

We're getting our grand prizes together and sorting through Tour de Dufflet photos, and wanted to share this one via email from Eunah Hunter ... thank you so much for the kind words Eunah!

Dear Dufflet,

Thank you for a wonderful time and treat for our family of three and friends.  We had a wonderful time cycling 80km today and sampling the delicious treats.  Your staff were welcoming and each Dufflet store was a point of relaxation and excitement for our legs and stomachs, respectively

:)  What a great idea to offer the Tour de Dufflet and to keep the commemorative event, in celebration of bike month, continuing for a fourth year.  Fabulous.
