beach bia chalk the walk contest...

Dufflet-Beach (1917 Queen Street East) and neighbour Ella Minnow Children's Bookstore have teamed up to create a beautiful and awesome entry for the Beach BIA Sidewalk Chalk Contest.

Dufflet staffer Kylee created the art (with input from Ella Minnow's Yvette) because what could possibly be sweeter on the beach than delish snacks from Dufflet and cool reads from Ellaminnow?

If you're walking along Queen Street East, look down for more creations from area shops east of Woodbine.

Beach BIA reps will be judging the contestants tomorrow at noon, so wish us luck!

“My Story. My Ad” contest (insert your vote here)

.
Greetings to all!

You know that Dufflet has a company that makes delicious chocolates, confections and candies, right?

Our Chocolate Signatures line has entered in the “My Story. My Ad” contest hosted by the Specialty Food Association.

Voting is just a simple "click" (no registering, no signing in, only a little Capcha action) and we'd love to have your support please!

Vote for our story from July 15 – July 21 and help us win our own national ad campaign in the US!

The winner will be announced on Friday, August 2, 2013.

The contest hashtag is #craftcarejoy for those of you who enjoy tagging things. I know I do.

You can see our story (ok, so technically it's a song... kinda, sorta) and vote here:

pride run, piece of cake!

.
.
Dufflet Pastries has been a proud sponsor of the Pride and Remembrance Run in Toronto for many years. We've uploaded some pix of our table, manned by Bobby and Nedra, where runners were treated to cherry peach upside down cakes, brownies, chocolate banana cake and cupcakes.

Check out our photos up on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/tourdedufflet/sets/72157634453496124/

Congrats to http://priderun.org/ organizers and to the runners and walkers who helped raise funds for local LGBT charities.
